GIS Analyst - Enterprise System Management /Ukiah, CA

Mendocino Redwood Company, LLC is seeking a GIS Analyst - Enterprise System Management for our location in Ukiah, CA

Successful candidate will coordinate and conduct GIS activities to support asset management, forestry, wildlife, and watershed groups.

Essential duties and required competencies include:

Ability to maintain and manage relational databases with familiarity of either SQL Server (T-SQL a plus), or PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
Advanced Programming of MS Access.
Develop and maintain GIS tools using Visual Basic (VBscript and/or VB.NET-preferable), Python, or other compatible programming/scripting languages.
SQL Statements
Ability to maintain and develop web applications using .NET, XML, (or Java-highly desirable).
Maintain and update complex topologies in geodatabases (familiarity with coverages as well as working knowledge using ArcInfo workstation).
GIS expertise with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop; Open-Source or other proprietary GIS packages (highly desirable).
Administration of server GIS, and maintain GIS hardware and software.
Dynamic segmentation, network analysis, overlay analysis, image processing.
Digitize and edit spatial and tabular data into GIS/database for analysis and map production.
Create new or modify existing ArcView, ArcMap and ArcInfo map compositions.
Establish and follow process flows for data capture and entry into GIS and relational databases.
Analyze and compile GPS data.
Ability to apply statistical analysis to natural resource management.

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and five years related experience and/or training required.
