Duties:
The Information Technology (IT) Engineer II class is responsible for performing primary and secondary, highly technical application or production support for applications developed as a client server or web application and/or vendor purchased application solutions. This assignment supports the implementation and expansion of a Citywide enterprise Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that is GIS-centric, including joining implementation teams and providing ongoing application support. This class may perform technical and/or project leadership for a medium to large-size project at one time or multiple small to medium-scale projects concurrently. This class is responsible for independently performing specialized work on more complex assignments such as identifying and documenting business process requirements and automation opportunities, assisting the customer in new project definition, client server/web development, testing, resolution of problems, system documentation, implementation, generation of reports, knowledge of data and databases, software/hardware configuration and integration, vendor evaluation and support of new technologies. Responsibilities may include supervising and coordinating day-to-day activities of technical staff (by assignment). The IT Engineer II class has regular customer interaction, which includes a wide range of assignments and project issues. About the Ideal Candidate:
Strong general database skills. IT experience with CMMS applications, database support, and/or GIS. Ability to readily understand business processes and assist customers with CMMS implementations and/or support. Proficient with written and verbal communication, customer service and/or teamwork, project and/or technical leadership, report writing, and/or developing and maintaining technical documentation. Familiarity with Azteca Cityworks, Crystal Reports, and/or work management a plus. Some experience in Oracle and/or ESRI ArcGIS is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field. Considerable (3 - 5 years) experience in one or more of the following: database, GIS, and/or CMMS implementation and/or support. For this position, an individual receiving a conditional offer of employment from the City of Mesa must pass a background investigation through the City of Mesa Police Department, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Federal Bureau of Investigation prior to commencing employment with the City of Mesa.

General Summary: Under the supervision of the REGIS Director, performs various technical functions associated with GIS data management, complex data analysis, cartography, user training, and research and presentation of GIS applications in multiple disciplines. Manages and delivers a multi-level user training program. Provides support for more advanced GIS applications such as 3-D, business, and network modeling. Duties also include designing and maintaining spatial data layers and associated databases, and recommending workflows to create and maintain spatial data. GIS Analyst also acts as a major participant in the development and implementation of standards. Responsibilities involve assisting in capacity planning for data storage, processing and networking impact of GIS applications. A portion of the position will also be allocated to perform project coordination and management for consortium-wide projects.
The Ideal Candidate: will require: in-depth knowledge of GIS concepts and methods and hands-on experience in the advanced GIS analysis and modeling; excellent communication skills in imparting training and presenting projects in both one-on-one and group settings; GIS project coordination management experience with local governments; and an understanding of ArcIMS and Oracle RDBMS. Knowledge of systems administration is highly preferred.

The participant will receive a monthly stipend. The stipend rate is determined based upon level of education, training, and experience. Inbound travel and moving expenses are reimbursed according to established policies. Travel and other costs will also be reimbursed for training related to the project and approved by ORISE and the host installation.
The participant must show proof of health and medical insurance. Health plans are available through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for Postgraduate Internship participants. The appointment is full time at the host installation.

Job Description:
Colliers International has an opening, for a Research & GIS Project Manager. The Research & GIS Project Manager will be responsible for production of companywide GIS Services, supporting 12 offices in Northern CA and NV. GIS services are the core function of this job and include mapping, retail demographic and aerial projects and analysis. The position will contribute GIS expertise and market knowledge, to enhance the property database application. This position reports directly to the Director of Research.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience, producing GIS related mapping, demographic and aerial imagery projects. GIS experience with MapInfo and Claritas products or similar is required. A college degree in Geography, a similar degree or training/work experience is required. Experience working in a commercial brokerage real estate office or similar sales environment is required. Extensive experience using MS Office work suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint are required. Candidates must portray high degrees of integrity and attention to detail, including strong written and interpersonal skills.
Business Objects Crystal Report software and report writing experience is a plus.
GIS related development experience, using Google Earth, API’s and creating Mashups, is a plus.
