GENERAL SUMMARY:
Working closely with the assigned Technical Lead this position will work with
operations related to LiDAR Processing.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS:
* Good understanding of LiDAR dataset related to utility corridors.

* Strong knowledge of established processing and QC procedures
* Proficiency in MStation/ Terascan and in house written customized tools
* To carry out all stages of the production processing as defined and directed by the Technical Lead.
* Perform incoming inspection and communicate all determined problems to Technical Lead and

* Ability to perform final QC of own work and work of peers
* Ability to prepare dataset for delivery in PoleCAD
* Assist and train new team members when necessary
* Assist Technical Lead in data delivery preparation
* Responsible for developing own proficiency in processing and studying new skills
* To ensure the quality and integrity of data processed
* To report up to date progress of data processing to Technical Lead on a regular and timely manner.
* Will Maintain a backup of any local files not covered by the backup strategy defined by the System

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIRED:
* Diploma or degree in Engineering and or GIS / Geomatics,
* At least 2 years Engineering experience
* Extensive CAD experience including Microstation and Autocad,
* Previous experience in Structural Engineering would be a definite an asset
* Experience with utilities and corridor mapping would be a definite asset, and
* Experience using ESRI’s Suite of Products is an asset
* Training in the Geomatics and LiDAR would be a definite asset

Using geospatial technology our commercial real estate development company creates orthographic maps to market sites for development. Candidate would work directly with a GIS Analyst using Arcview 9.2 to create site information packets which include regional, area, and local aerial maps and other relevant site information for marketing. Candidate will perform research to find information regarding current client sites and competitor sites using web sources, township officials, etc. Candidates will also research potential sites for development by obtaining property information using courthouse records, zoning and tax maps. General Summary: Under the supervision of the REGIS Director, performs various technical functions associated with GIS data management, complex data analysis, cartography, user training, and research and presentation of GIS applications in multiple disciplines. Manages and delivers a multi-level user training program. Provides support for more advanced GIS applications such as 3-D, business, and network modeling. Duties also include designing and maintaining spatial data layers and associated databases, and recommending workflows to create and maintain spatial data. Senior GIS Analysts act as a major participant in the development and implementation of standards. Responsibilities involve assisting in capacity planning for data storage, processing and networking impact of GIS applications. A portion of the position will also be allocated to perform project coordination and management for consortium-wide projects.
The Ideal Candidate: will require: in-depth knowledge of GIS concepts and methods and hands-on experience in the advanced GIS analysis and modeling; excellent communication skills in imparting training and presenting projects in both one-on-one and group settings; 3 years of GIS project management experience with local governments; and good understanding of ArcIMS and Oracle RDBMS. Summary of Position
Panthera, a young and dynamic conservation organization focusing on the world’s wild cat species, seeks a GIS/Remote Sensing Analyst responsible for compiling and managing geographic data resources, analyzing data, and producing high quality maps. Principal Responsibilities

Job Description:
The qualified Hydrographic Data Analyst will be responsible for processing and analyzing single beam, multibeam, and side scan sonar data. Utilizing a variety of custom and commercial software the analyst will produce 2 and 3 dimensional final data sets, necessary for generating bathymetric images and maps. Some report writing maybe required.
Appropriate job training will be provided to the qualified candidate.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree of Science and/or experience in the fields of: Mathematics, Engineering, Surveying, Computer Science, Physical Sciences (or other closely related fields).

Functional Description:
A proven professional, the GIS Analyst is competent to work on complex projects and applies an in-depth knowledge of technical and spatial analysis concepts, practices and procedures. REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs definition of user functional requirements by translating development and/or maintenance requirements into specifications; creates and implements geographic database designs. Creates advanced geospatial products for client and general public use.
Analyzes existing and new software for incorporation of desired geospatial functionality. Performs detailed reviews and analysis of user department needs, new equipment, new technology, and other factors and trends impacting existing and proposed geographic information systems. Prepares GIS quality assurance test plans; conducts acceptance tests; confirms and presents results. Reviews vendor and other datasets for quality, accuracy, and conformity and incorporates approved datasets into the production environment.
Ensures that systems documentation is updated according to client and ACS’ standards. May assist in user training.
Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and compiles information into recommendations/analyses.
Participates in presentations where application requires technical staff, and may conduct research for, or write portions of, technical proposals.
May be responsible for instructing, directing and monitoring the work of assigned technical personnel.
Education and Typical Years Experience:
A Bachelors degree in GIS or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience using GIS data, software and tools.
Special Requirements:
Ability to read, understand and work from plats, deeds, legal descriptions and drawings. Knowledge and experience using PLSS (Public Land Survey System). Position Summary: This position is for a GIS Analyst, with systems and data expertise, to work with GIS Team to develop and implement an enterprise level/server based geographic information systems and technology for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (CPIC). The position will be responsible for helping design, develop and maintain an enterprise geodatabase and for developing new GIS applications on an Argos Server platform as well as providing high level GIS analysis and services to internal customers.
Essential Functions:
• Development, testing and documentation of ArcGIS Server based GIS applications and services, such as web/intranet based mapping and geocoding services.
• Help model, develop, and maintain CPIC enterprise geodatabase.
• Utilize GIS software at an expert level to analyze geographic data and deliver results in multiple formats.
• Help create, digitize, and or gather necessary GIS data from public GIS data sources.
• Proactively develop innovative solutions using GIS technology for complex business problems of CPIC departments and promote efficient use and expansion of GIS in support of the company’s business processes and strategic goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of ESRI suite of GIS software and technology (ArcInfo, ArcEditor or ArcView) is required.
• Working knowledge of ESRI suite of ArcGIS Server software (ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS) is highly preferred.
• Experience with and proficiency in any general-purpose programming language such as C/C++, C#.net, Java, Visual Basic, ASP.net, Python, etc. is required.
• Strong working knowledge of web and map development languages and tools is highly preferred.
• Experience in modeling, implementing and maintaining geodatabases on a GIS server platform and within a mainstream RDBMS environment is highly preferred.
• Solid oral and written communication skills, technical writing skills, and ability to draft and publish reports.
• Strong ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments effectively.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the GIS industry or in a related area.
• 1 to 3 years working experience with ESRI ArcGIS desktop software suite.
