GeoNorth is seeking an innovative and experienced web application developer to engineer ArcIMS and database applications. Candidate will help design specifications and develop software solutions for GeoNorth’s clients and business partners. Candidate will also participate in the development and maintenance of GeoNorth’s commercial software products. Candidate must have experience developing and deploying dynamic content and GIS based applications and must be well versed in HTML, ColdFusion MX, Fusebox, Flash, Java, XML, Javascript, .NET and ArcIMS. Strong graphic design and UI skills are desired. Candidate must also have creative problem solving skills and proven technical leadership with a talent for presenting technical concepts to all types of audiences.
-Prefer a BA or BS degree and/or extensive work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience developing ColdFusion MX and/or ArcIMS applications.
-Must have significant and proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, ESRI products and data formats.
-Desired candidate must have strong communication and documentation skills.
-Candidate must have creative and innovative graphic interface design skills and experience.
-Must have experience developing applications for Local Government, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation, and Public Safety organizations.
-Candidate must be a US Citizen.
-Periodic short term travel (2-5 days) may be required.
