The position requires hands on experience with GIS software as well as an understanding of basic GIS concepts, including the use of projections/coordinate systems, geoprocessing tools, and spatial analysis. Selected candidates will work with KCI’s professional staff conducting data research. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports.

High School Diploma (R), Driver’s License (R). Candidates should be seeking a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geography, or GIS or closely related field.
