Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG), a contractor to multiple government agencies, is seeking geographic information system (GIS) professionals to support environmental and public health projects in Atlanta, GA. The work will entail a wide range of geospatial science, technology, and visualization tasks to help evaluate trends and patterns associated with environmental exposure, disease outcomes, and injuries. We are looking to hire multiple individuals with various levels of experience.
Ideal candidates will have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in geospatial information science and technology, geography, geospatial statistics, or a related field. We also seek candidates experienced in one or more of the following areas: relational database design/development, systems analysis, web/desktop application development, data visualization, business process management, and data management. GIS certification is a plus, as is experience in environmental science or public health.
ERG is looking to fill multiple positions, from entry-level (i.e., recent college graduate) to senior-level (i.e., five or more years of professional experience). Candidates must have a keen eye for detail, familiarity with reviewing and interpreting data, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal/written technical communication skills. In addition, the ability to obtain government security clearance is required, and all employees must undergo a background check prior to starting work.
